Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July everyone! I spent today actually working on some layouts! It is so hot here, being outside is out of the question!

This page showed my nieces playing around! I used DCWV cardstock for the solid background and DCWV solid for the bracket and title. I cut the bracket with Alphalicious cart and title with Zoo animals cart and alphalicious for the ampersand. Scenic Route paper for my pattern paper and sentence strip. The buttons were bought at wal-mart years ago, and have no name on them. This layout shows the pictures that Jer took with his Kite rig! He has many hobbies as well, and I love to incorporate those in my layouts! I used DCWV cardstock for the background and title and kite. The title was cut with cupcake and zoo animals cart. The kite was gypsy wanderings cart that came with my Gypsy. I used Scenic Route paper for the pattern paper and the zig zag blue paper is Bazzil.

I am so excited I got 2 layouts and done! The 4th is a day to relax and get stuff done! I am very thankful for those service men and women who fight for us everyday so that we can enjoy our freedoms! Happy 4th everyone!

Hooray!

So this week I spent some time working on finishing 2010 layouts and a card. Here is what I did on Saturday and Sunday!

I made this card for my father-in-law for his birthday! His birthday is around the 4th, so I always do a July 4th theme! I used a red and blue shiny cardstock for the card and for the star and Hooray title. The title is Lyrical Letters cart. I used a cake stamp from Stamps for Life and colored them with prisma color markers. I then added some glitter dots to the cake.

This layout was showing Jer's Grandpa's final resting place for his ashes and Jer's family. Just snapshots of the family at the property. I used Fence patterned paper from Karen Foster, cowboy paper (artist unknown), Cosmo Cricket for flowers, swirls, frames and sentence strip, brown cardstock from DCWV for title. Hannah Montana cart for title.

Hope everyone has a wonderful 4th of July! Be safe and if you are in the south, stay cool!!!!

More pages done!

So I tried to post this last night, but Blogspot was not responding at all! So, here it is today! I did complete these layouts yesterday and I am working on one today...I did run out of tape runner, so I will be off to the store before I can finish!

I completed another 2 pages! I thought I could only get done 1 layout done today, but I was wrong! I have officially started December of 2010, but I have a long way to go! We had many activties happen in December, not just Christmas!!!

This layout was our Urban Dare experience! You pretty much have to do a scavenger hunt in the city (ours being Ft. Worth) and try to get a good time! I used DCWV solid paper for background and title and city cut out. I used Scenic Route for pattern paper. Fancy Pants Design for journal tag. Flowers are a company I am not sure about. I got them 3 years ago at Scrapbook convention! I finally used the last of them on this layout!

Here is a close up of the title! I used the city from Dress Up Dolls cart and Cuttin Up cart for the Urban Dare title. Isn't it super cute? The city matched the shirts perfect!!!

This layout was to show all the work that was done in creating Jer's Grandpa's Memorial Garden out at the property. Jer's family wanted a place to bury his ashes and a place they could come to pay their respect. They worked many weekends on it and it looks great! I used DCWV solid for the background. Scenic Route paper for patterned paper and for title. Fancy Pants Design for journal tag. Memories sticker is from Creative Memories and the felt flower is Heidi Swapp.

I have many more layouts to do to commerate the Garden. Will post more soon! Hopefully I can sneak away and get some tape runner!

Pretty Proud of myself.

So, being back from Colorado, I had plans to get back in the sun and tan away. Well, today the pool was closed. Of course! So, I said the heck with it and came home and scrapped! I did 2 layouts today, which is ah-mazing for me! I was really pleased! Like I've said before, I am trying to finish up 2010 and I am finially about to start December! A lot happened in December, so many more posts to come!!!

This first layout I scrapped some random photos from my iPhone that I had collected. Those apps are a hoot to make you look ridiculous! I used Scenic Route, Cosmo Cricket and an unknown paper for all the patterned paper. DCWV for the blue cardstock and for the green title. The font used was Cuttin Up. The arrows and flowers are from Scenic Route as well. My favorite pic is my sister! She sent this picture to my mom after she was getting over a really terrible cold! She was in mid sneeze!!!

This layout was done with DCWV cardstock in red for the background, Scenic Route paper for the patterned paper, the flowers and rhinestone are from Queen & Co., and the tag was Fancy Pants Design. The title was DCWV in pink and Lyrical Letters for the font. We always trim the tree during Thanksgiving Break, so this shows our Tradition. We added a new one (old for me) by going to Braum's and getting Egg Nog! Yummers!

Perhaps I may scrap again tomorrow instead of pool....it is really hot here!

Sorry! I was away on vacay!!!

We took a family trip to Colorado this past week! It was amazing! Here were a few pics from our trip! We woke up to snow our first day there, did some sight-seeing, did the alpine slide, water rafting and ended the trip with a campfire and s'mores! I can not wait to scrap this trip! I already have so many ideas!

I look forward to many trips back to Colorado! I promise to be back with some scrap ideas soon! Hopefully tomorrow! Bye for now!

Happy Anniversary!!!!

I got some card making and scrapbooking done today!!!!! I needed to make a card for my husband. This Sunday (Father's Day) will be our 7th Anniversary!!!! I hope he really likes it!

I used this cute paper that I have had forever! It has glitter flowers, but not too much. I have tried to use it for a layout, but could never find the right fit. It works great for this card!!! I used my Cricut to cut out the Happy Anniversary. It is from Lyrical Letters Cart. I also added some big eyelets for extra flair.

I had some more time, so I continued working on the 2010 scrapbook. This layout was to show the motorcycle my husband's uncle got. Everyone got to take a ride! I used this cute paper from DCWV that has tire marks on it. I then added the red circle paper to pull the color of the motorcycle out. I used my Cricut to cut out the title. I used Zoo Animals Cart.

Simple layout, but I am pleased how it turned out!

Turkey Layouts!

Sorry it has been awhile! I have been super busy for it being summer!!! I hope it calms down a bit, or this summer is going to fly by! I did get to some crafting though! On Friday I went to a crop and did 5 layouts, but did not get to put titles on them. So today, I got out the Cricut and got to work! I was finished in an hour! I love working with my Cricut!!! Here are the five pages. I am still working on 2010, so this was Thanksgiving. Sorry about the pics, I was having some trouble uploading and had to make them small....do not likey!

This last pic is a close up of the first page! Love using my circle cutter! It cuts up to almost 12 inch circles which look great on a layout!

Looking at food....I am sitting here with the TV on and a clip came of Lady Gaga wearing an all meat dress, shoes and hat. She is so bizarre, yet so interesting! I wonder what a turkey meat dress would look like? Hmm....something to contemplate!
