Whoo Hoo! Christmas Cards done!

Well, I actually did it! I had a goal of making my Christmas cards during my Thanksgiving Break and I accomplished it! Yes! Now all I have to do is sign them, address the envelopes and send them out! I may actually get them out before the 1st! Usually I don't send them in time to get there by Christmas!

I used a paper set I found at Hobby Lobby called Magic of the Season by PaperStudio. It was an 8 1/2 by 11 inch paper set and although I usually steer away from that size, I really liked the black, cream and red for my cards this year! (I normally get 12 by 12 so I can use the leftovers for scrapbooking!!!)

I used a stamp set called Christmas Love from Close to My Heart stamps. One of my good friends sells Close to My Heart and when I saw this set in the Catalog I knew it would match perfectly with the paper!

The embellishments were things I had lying around. Most of which I got a Scrapbook Convention this last summer. I am definitely stocking up on rhinestones again next year! They have added so much to my paper crafts! And...best part of all? Most of them were just a $1! Love convention!!!

The 2 landscape cards. Those trees were a beating to cut out!!!!! But I like the way they turned out!

I love the simplicity of this one! The paper really worked well with each other!

I loved the star stamp! It was the main reason I bought the set! These were easy to make as well! Using my circle punches really added something!

I can not wait to send these out! I am really proud of how they turned out! Hope you enjoyed them as well!

Finally Finished!!!!

Going over to crop at my friend's house on Monday did the trick!!!! I finished 7 layouts and finished all the layouts for 2010! All I need to do now is make my title pages for the 2 books and I am done!!! Phew! I thought I was gonna have to take some 2010 to the retreat! But nope! I will only be working on 2011!!! I included 3 of the layouts I did on Monday!

This one is of my precious Jesse James!!!! He is my cousin's baby and I just love him!!! I used blue DCWV cardstock for the background and green DCWV for the title and jacks. I also glittered the jacks to make them pop! I used Scenic Route for the pattern paper and a tag from fancypantsdesigns. The carts I used was Zoo animals for the title and I'm not sure about the jacks!!!

This layout is of my niece who loves to entertain us!!! She is a hoot! I used black DCWV cardstock for the background and music title and notes and the glitter paper is DCWV too! The pattern paper didn't have a name on them, but I think I got them at JoAnn's. The sentence strip is Cosmo Cricket. The carts I used were Alphalicious for the glitter title and Hannah Montanna for the music title and music notes. Love the star music notes!!!!

This last layout was just of Christmas Day at my husband's Grandma's house. I used dark blue DCWV cardstock for the background and dark green DCWV cardstock for the title. Pattern paper is Scenic Route and I added some ruby red rhinestones (not sure about company). The journal tag is fancypantsdesign. I used the Creative Memories big circle cut to make the big circle! I love adding big circles to my pages and you will probably see more! The cart I used was Lyrical Letters.

Well, that is the end of 2010!!! I am so excited! The books are super thick (as always!) and I can't wait to show off them off! I am planning to work on the title pages this week and then go back to making some cards. I will also be power layout-ing 2011. I will post pics and tell you more about that another time!!! Thanks for looking!

Seeing the end of the tunnel of 2010!

Wow! Boy have I been busy!!! I got 5 layouts done! And...I am almost done with the 6th one! I had to get a new cricut mat because all mine have finally lost their stickiness!!!! Now that I have it, I should get even more layouts done! I do have a deadline, so I have to get busy!!!! Monday I am going to a friend's house for some cropping. I am hoping to get 2010 done!!!!

I love this title!!! I used DCWV green cardstock, fed it through the xyron, and then glittered it with white glitter! Loving the glitter lately! I used 2 carts for this cut. Cupcake and Lyrical Letters.

Here is the layout the title is on! It was our Christmas tree and picture of us. I used DCWV red cardstock for on page and the DCWV Christmas paper for the pattern paper. Green DCWV cardstock for title (see above) and for matting of pics. Journal tag is fancypantsdesign. Which I have come to *love*!

This layout was of the moon on the day of the Full Eclipse in December. The pics aren't great, but I still had to scrap it!!! Black DCWV carstock for background and matting. Karen Foster paper for circles. Orange swirl paper was and old set of JoAnne's paper essentials that I got for $1.17 on clearance years ago!!! Journal title is fancypantsdesign and title is Glitter cardstock from DCWV. Cart used was Blackletter.

This layout was for a family member's birthday dinner and party. I used Green DCWV cardstock for background. Large cut paper is unknown. Pattern paper is Scenic Route. Journal tag is scenic route. Black Flower is a die cut from EZ Designs. Black cardstock from Hobby Lobby for title. Cart used is Opposites Attract.

Fun times with a dune buggy!!!! White background is DCWV, pattern paper is Scenic Route, arrows are Scenic Route, sentence strip is Scenic Route, Journal tag is fancypantsdesign, Title and jeep is Brown cardstock from DCWV. Carts used were Cuttin' Up for title and Seasonal Summer Vacation (which I just got and l-o-v-e!!!)

This layout was some target practice that family did at the property. I used DCWV patterned paper (the manly book) for the background and for the boys will be boys cut. I used brown cardstock for matting. Green cardstock for title. Both from DCWV. Camo paper is Karen Foster. Carts used were Cuttin' Up and Indie Art.

Phew!!! I was busy! But I am so glad that I am almost done with 2010 and am pleased with how they turned out! I normally have not been scrapping at home because of lack of time, but I have enjoyed it so much! I normally power layout all my photos with what I want to use ahead of time (which I will be doing soon for 2011), but I have liked adding some stuff at home! Thanks for looking and bye for now!

Pretty Proud of myself.

So, being back from Colorado, I had plans to get back in the sun and tan away. Well, today the pool was closed. Of course! So, I said the heck with it and came home and scrapped! I did 2 layouts today, which is ah-mazing for me! I was really pleased! Like I've said before, I am trying to finish up 2010 and I am finially about to start December! A lot happened in December, so many more posts to come!!!

This first layout I scrapped some random photos from my iPhone that I had collected. Those apps are a hoot to make you look ridiculous! I used Scenic Route, Cosmo Cricket and an unknown paper for all the patterned paper. DCWV for the blue cardstock and for the green title. The font used was Cuttin Up. The arrows and flowers are from Scenic Route as well. My favorite pic is my sister! She sent this picture to my mom after she was getting over a really terrible cold! She was in mid sneeze!!!

This layout was done with DCWV cardstock in red for the background, Scenic Route paper for the patterned paper, the flowers and rhinestone are from Queen & Co., and the tag was Fancy Pants Design. The title was DCWV in pink and Lyrical Letters for the font. We always trim the tree during Thanksgiving Break, so this shows our Tradition. We added a new one (old for me) by going to Braum's and getting Egg Nog! Yummers!

Perhaps I may scrap again tomorrow instead of pool....it is really hot here!
