Camping Cartridge

We love camping.  I love scrapbooking the pictures too!  The Campin' Critters Cartridge is so cute and really helps accent a page!  You have to cut and layer the images, but it is so worth it in the end!  I am reading a book right now about "Kicking up" your pages.  I think this page needs something more....I may be going back to it!

Paper:  Scrapbook convention.  Not sure of maker.  Solid paper:  DCWV.  Journal Tag:  FancyPantsDesign.  Stickers:  Jolee.  Cartridges used:  Campin Critters and Elegant Edges.
I still have some more layouts to show.  Look forward to posting them next week!  Thanks for looking!

Camping Layouts

Today I woke up to beautiful weather!  I went for a run and it was 66 degrees!  That is unheard of here in Texas at this time of year!  I wish I could say it is staying, but no, back in the 90s by the end of the week.  But this morning, the weather made me want to get out and get camping!  Last November we took a trip out to Copper Breaks State Park near Quannah, TX.  It was so gorgeous!  The next few posts I do will be layouts from that trip.  I used the Mosaic tiling pages for this page and I think it turned out great!
Green background paper:Tami Potter paper.  Title paperL  DCWV.  Title:  Campin' Critters Cartridge.
I just love using the Tami Potter Mosaic paper system.  I've done so many now, it is very easy for me to complete them.  If you have never tried it, it is a lot of fun and I think make your pages different and fantastic!

Thanks for looking today!  I hope your weekend is beautiful too!  See ya soon!

Elegant Edges

I love using my Cricut.  I try to use it on every layout that I use.  For awhile that was just for titles, but I got some cartridges that more than fonts and I have become more creative with them.  My favorite go to cart is Elegant Edges.  I love it!  It gives me the capabilities to cut out backgrounds to make my patterned paper pop more.  I find myself using it on every page!!!!    This layout was of my sister's birthday.  I picked the paper to match her cute shirt!

Background paper:  DCWV.  Patterned paper:  Scrapbook convention paper (not sure of maker).  Title:  paper-DCWV.  Cart:Songbird.  Flowers:  scrapbook convention.  Pearls:  Queen and Co.  Brown Ribbon:  Scrapbook convention.
Do you have a favorite Cartridge?  I'd love to hear about it!  Thanks for taking the time to look!

It is hot here!!!!

I don't know about you, but I am ready for fall.  It is September 1st here and it was measuring 113 degrees in my car!  I am ready for some cooler weather!  I can't complain too bad....this has been a pretty mild summer.

School has started back up!  I have just completed the 1st week of my 12 year of teaching.  I love it, but I am tired!  36 more weeks to go till summer!  Ha!  You know all teachers count down!

Since I am ready for fall, I thought I would post a layout I did for a pillow I made for Halloween.  I have slowly gotten into sewing, still have a lot to learn, and I made this pillow.  I will say it was hard, a little out of my experience zone!  But it turned out cute.

Jack o lantern paper:  SEI.  Orange stripe paper:  DCWV.  Glitter paper for pumpkin and title:  DCWV.  Glitter ribbon:  got in a gift exchange so not sure of maker.  Carts used:  Title:  Lyrical Letters.  Pumpkin:  Phrases (I think....).

Thanks for taking a look today!  I hope you are enjoying your Labor Day weekend!

Different Layout

Hello!  Have you ever had a brain fart and just couldn't think of a way to do a layout?  I do all the time!  With Pinterest and the Internet, there are so many new ideas on how to do a layout out there!  This was one of those layouts!  We did a lot of kayaking last summer and took a lot of pictures.  I had to do layouts of each of them, but I didn't want them all to look the same.  So, I looked up a layout.  I wish I could show you the layout sketch, but I completed this at a retreat and got the idea from our leader!

Patterned paper:  Cosmo Cricket.  Solid and glitter paper:  DCWV.  Flowers:  Bought at scrapbook convention, unsure of designer.  Tag:  JoAnn's Dollar section.  Title:  Hannah Montana Font Cartridge.
Do you ever need to find layout ideas?  Where do you look?  I'd love to hear your ideas!  Thanks for looking!!!!

Coordinating Papers

Hello!  I love paper!  I have tons of it.  In fact, I get made fun of all the time because of my love of paper.  What I really love is coordinating stacks!  You can find the cutest papers in those stacks and they all coordinate together!!!!!  Here is a layout I did for my niece's 13th Birthday Party.

Solid and pattern paper:  Authentique Paper.  Small Flowers:  Kaiser Scrapbook.  Big flower:  Heidi Swapp.  Buttons:  Close to my Heart.  Tag:  FancyPantsDesign.  Glitter Mesh:  not sure of company.  Bought at scrapbook convention.  Title:  Lyrical Letters Cartridge

I love how this layout turned out!  The coordinating papers really work well together and I don't have to search for the right shade of blue!  This was a new paper stack I had tried.  I usually stick to DCWV.  Do you have a favorite paper maker company?  I'd love to hear about it!

Thanks for looking!

Born to Ride

Hello!  Today's layout is one I made about riding motorbikes.  I wanted to use bright colors and this paper was perfect!  At the retreats I go to, we do a Cricut cut swap.  Each of us choose 2 items to cut and glam up.  We cut enough for all participating and then we end up with some really neat cuts we might never had the opportunity to make.  One of the cuts I got was a motorcycle and I thought, "How am I going to use this?"  Well this layout uses it great!!!!!  You never know what you might use!

Patterned paper:  Got at Scrapbook convention so not sure of designer.  Blue title and green star paper: DCWV.  Red Ribbon:  Michael's.  Stickers:  Hobby Lobby Paper Studio.  Title and Star:  Hannah Montana Cartridge.   Motorcycle:  Made at swap so unsure what cart came from.

I am a supply hoarder and will keep anything if I think I might use it.  I saw a post on Pinterest the other day, from my Aunt Judy, about a person using the circle film from an old Viewfinder.  It is amazing what we can use to scrap!  Are you a supply hoarder too?  What unused items could you scrap with?  Happy hunting!!!!
