Coordinating Papers

Hello!  I love paper!  I have tons of it.  In fact, I get made fun of all the time because of my love of paper.  What I really love is coordinating stacks!  You can find the cutest papers in those stacks and they all coordinate together!!!!!  Here is a layout I did for my niece's 13th Birthday Party.

Solid and pattern paper:  Authentique Paper.  Small Flowers:  Kaiser Scrapbook.  Big flower:  Heidi Swapp.  Buttons:  Close to my Heart.  Tag:  FancyPantsDesign.  Glitter Mesh:  not sure of company.  Bought at scrapbook convention.  Title:  Lyrical Letters Cartridge

I love how this layout turned out!  The coordinating papers really work well together and I don't have to search for the right shade of blue!  This was a new paper stack I had tried.  I usually stick to DCWV.  Do you have a favorite paper maker company?  I'd love to hear about it!

Thanks for looking!

Born to Ride

Hello!  Today's layout is one I made about riding motorbikes.  I wanted to use bright colors and this paper was perfect!  At the retreats I go to, we do a Cricut cut swap.  Each of us choose 2 items to cut and glam up.  We cut enough for all participating and then we end up with some really neat cuts we might never had the opportunity to make.  One of the cuts I got was a motorcycle and I thought, "How am I going to use this?"  Well this layout uses it great!!!!!  You never know what you might use!

Patterned paper:  Got at Scrapbook convention so not sure of designer.  Blue title and green star paper: DCWV.  Red Ribbon:  Michael's.  Stickers:  Hobby Lobby Paper Studio.  Title and Star:  Hannah Montana Cartridge.   Motorcycle:  Made at swap so unsure what cart came from.

I am a supply hoarder and will keep anything if I think I might use it.  I saw a post on Pinterest the other day, from my Aunt Judy, about a person using the circle film from an old Viewfinder.  It is amazing what we can use to scrap!  Are you a supply hoarder too?  What unused items could you scrap with?  Happy hunting!!!!

Kayaking layout

My husband and I are kayakers.  We love it!  We bought kayaks last summer and float away in the lakes and coves here in Texas!  We did a lot of kayaking last year and I had so many layouts of all the different trips!  Here is one that I was really proud of.

Orange cardstock:  DCWV.  Glitter paper for title:  DCWV.  Patterned paper:  Cosmo Cricket.  Glitter flourish:  Scrapbook convention.  Title:  Opposites Attract Cartridge.
I am loving using glitter now!  I found this paper stack at JoAnn's that is just glitter and it cuts so well on my cricut.  Saves me time because in the past I would cut my title, run it through my Xyron sticker maker upside down, glitter it, clean up mess, and then run it through sticker maker again to stick it to page.  Now, this new glitter stack I just cut and stick.  Love it!  I also am trying to remember to use all my cartridges, not just my brand new ones.  I liked Opposites Attract for this layout.

I hope you enjoyed this post.  If you own a cricut, go out and use some of those older carts you have.  You can fall in love with all over again!  Thanks for looking!

Cards!

I love making cards, do you?  I recently made 2 birthday cards.  One for my father in law and the other for my hair stylist's 30th bday.  I'll let you guess which card is for which person!  Here they are...

Black, gray, pink cardstock:  DCWV.  Stamps:  Stamps of Life and CTMH.  Flower and rhinestones:  Queen and Co.  Ink:  Color Box:  Stephanie Barnard.

Star paper:  Dollar spot at Target.  4th of July paper:  Joann's.  Hooray Title:  Lyrical Letters Cricut Cartridge.  Glitter paper:  Hobby Lobby Paper studio.  Ribbon:  got in a ribbon swap so not sure of company.
Didn't they turn out cute?!  I love using stamps and using my Cricut to make cards.  Cricut has 2 cartridges out now that are just for card making.  I haven't gotten them yet, but I want them!  Has anyone out there tried one?  Let me know if ya have!  Thanks for looking!  See ya soon!

Spin Art

Do you remember spin art machines?  We loved these growing up!  My husband thought it would be fun to make one.  He researched some online and was able to make one with a box fan.  We had so much fun making art!  It's neat to see the colors swirl around as it is moving and then seeing the end result!  For this layout, I didn't want to find paper that might match.  I used our actual Spin Art!

Black paper:  DCWV.  Ribbon:  Target dollar bin.  Journal tag:  FancyPantsDesign.  Title:  paper-DCWV.  Cartridige:  Alphalicious.

This page was pretty easy to layout but it was so much fun using the actual art! I hope this gives you some ideas to use the "art" you are scrapping too.  Thanks for looking!

July 4th is almost here!

Hello!  I just got back from my 2nd retreat this month and I had a blast!  I got 25 layouts done again (that makes 50 pages!).  With the retreat earlier in June and with this one, I got 100 pages scrapped!  Whew!  I was busy!  All I have left is to scrap Christmas and finish our camping trip from November.  (I realized half way that I had forgotten to print out some photos!  Boo.)

Today I bring you a layout I did for the 4th of July last year.  I love the 4th.  We usually head to my in-laws or go downtown and watch the fireworks.
Paper is DCWV, Mosaic template, or paper from target.  Bling from Love2scrap.  Title from Phrases Cartridge.
Aren't these photos great?!?  I took some with my point and shoot and Jer took some with his super DSLR camera.  Either way they look amazing and I love doing the Mosaic tile layouts.  I've done many now, that it really doesn't take me that long anymore.

Anyhoo, I hope you enjoyed the layout.  I also hope you enjoy the 4th and I will see you soon!  Thanks for looking!!!!
