National Day of Scrapbooking

Hello all!  Today is the National Day of Scrapbooking!  Did you get any scrapping done today?  Sadly I did not because I was helping my hubby with rebuilding the fence.  But I have been working on my current book though!  Here is a little of what I've done.

Paper: DCWV and Hobby Lobby.  Silver medallions:  Close to my Heart.  Journal Tag:Hobby Lobby tag punch.  Cartridge: Phrases

My husband loves to photograph and was trying out some studio stuff.  We had fun posing!  I love to scrap the everyday things as you can tell.  Do you scrap only big events or everyday events too?

Thanks for looking!

Valentines!

I love making cards!  Sometimes I spend needed time making cards instead of scrapbooking!  I got this kit from my friend Kim.  She put it all together and made a how-to video.  I love how they turned out!

Do you make a lot of cards?  I'd love to hear about them!  Thanks for looking!

Fun photos!

Hello!  My husband loves to create art using many mediums.  Photography, paint, drawing, wood turning, metal, etc.  He does it all!  I like to capture this in my scrapbooks.  I've I included two layouts.  One is some photos he did with flashlights and the other is his spin art machine in action.  Both very cool!

Paper:  DCWV and JoAnn's.  Tape ribbon:  Queen&Co.  Journal Tag:  Scenic Route paper cut from tag punch.  Cartridge:  Alphalicious and Element Edges.
Paper:  DCWV and original designs from spin art machine.  Ribbon:  Michael's.  Journal Tag:  Fancy Pants Design.  Cartridge:  Cuttin' Up.

What cool art he does!  Hope you enjoyed!

Stamps?

Hello!  Have you ever used stamping in your layouts?  I usually keep my stamps just for cardmaking, but I was given this super cute stamp from my Aunt Judy and I thought it would look perfect on a layout!

Paper:  Solid and pattern:  DCWV; Journal Tag:  Joann's dollar section.  Button:  Close to my heart.  Fall Stamp:  Close to my Heart.  Cartridges:  Elegant Edges, Celebrate with Flourish, and Imagine Enjoy the Seasons.

I really think the stamp added something to this layout and it was like I made my own patterned paper!  Do you ever use stamps on layouts?  I'd love to hear from ya!

Thanks for looking!

Paper!

Hello!  What is your favorite scrapbooking tool?  Mine is paper.  I have tons of it and I am always buying more!  My husband always gives me a hard time when I buy new paper because I have so much to begin with!  I just love it though!  Solid color cardstock is a must because you need it for backgrounds, titles and even making cards.  Patterned papers are just pretty!  If I see a patterned paper I like, I will buy it.  I especially love paper packs!  They are full of gorgeous papers!  I recently bought one from DCWV that I have fallen in love with!  It is called "The Modern Meadow Stack" and it is so pretty!  I have included a couple of pages that I have used.  All the patterned paper is from that stack!
Paper:  DCWV.  Flower:  from scrapbook convention.  Button with bird:  Hobby Lobby. Title:  Just Because Cards

Paper:  DCWV.  Flower:  from scrapbook convention and close to my heart.  Gear on flower:  Hobby Lobby. Title:  Just Because Cards.  Background shape:  Elegant Edges

Don't you just love how they all go together!?!  It makes creating a layout so easy because I just pick paper from that stack!  The stack also came with journal tags and cute sayings to add to your layouts.  I do have to say that DCWV is one of my favorite paper companies. My favorite of all time though is Scenic Route, but they no longer make paper.  Sad.  Do you have a favorite paper or are as obsessed as I am with paper?  I'd love to hear from ya!

I hope you enjoyed looking!

Titles

Hello everyone!  There are many things that I consider when creating a layout.   One of my favorite parts is the title!  Sometimes the pictures give the title.  Sometimes I might use my book that has tons of title ideas.  Other times I use prepared titles using my Cricut.  Here are some examples.

Paper: DWV.  Cartridge:  Celebrate with Flourish.

Paper: DWV.  Cartridge: Phrases
Making the titles with the layers just make them pop!  Of course I added some glitter paper as well.

What do you use to create your titles?  Thanks for stopping by to look!  See y'all soon!

Wow! It has been awhile!

I know, I know.  It has been forever since I have been on here!  I hate that the school year eats up so much of my time.  Excuses!  I am back!!!!

I was looking at some photos and realized I did not ever blog about this layout.  So before I show you anything new I have been working on, I had to go over this page!

I made this last year.  I used some of my fun embellishments that I got at Scrapbook Convention.  I love the bling I added!!!!

Paper:  DCWV and SEI maybe?  The rhinestone border and glittery mesh are from Scrapbook Convention.  The title is Phrases Cartridge.  Background cut with Elegant Edges.
I love using new embellishments!  I recently went to another Scrapbook Convention and of course spent way too much money, but got great stuff and learned some new techniques to use on my pages.  I also joined Stamps of Life die hard club!  I am addicted to her stamps right now!

I also got some new goodies for Christmas that I will share as well!  I promise to be back with more soon!  Until then, hope you enjoyed this Fall layout and I am glad to be back with ya!
