More pages done!

So I tried to post this last night, but Blogspot was not responding at all! So, here it is today! I did complete these layouts yesterday and I am working on one today...I did run out of tape runner, so I will be off to the store before I can finish!

I completed another 2 pages! I thought I could only get done 1 layout done today, but I was wrong! I have officially started December of 2010, but I have a long way to go! We had many activties happen in December, not just Christmas!!!

This layout was our Urban Dare experience! You pretty much have to do a scavenger hunt in the city (ours being Ft. Worth) and try to get a good time! I used DCWV solid paper for background and title and city cut out. I used Scenic Route for pattern paper. Fancy Pants Design for journal tag. Flowers are a company I am not sure about. I got them 3 years ago at Scrapbook convention! I finally used the last of them on this layout!

Here is a close up of the title! I used the city from Dress Up Dolls cart and Cuttin Up cart for the Urban Dare title. Isn't it super cute? The city matched the shirts perfect!!!

This layout was to show all the work that was done in creating Jer's Grandpa's Memorial Garden out at the property. Jer's family wanted a place to bury his ashes and a place they could come to pay their respect. They worked many weekends on it and it looks great! I used DCWV solid for the background. Scenic Route paper for patterned paper and for title. Fancy Pants Design for journal tag. Memories sticker is from Creative Memories and the felt flower is Heidi Swapp.

I have many more layouts to do to commerate the Garden. Will post more soon! Hopefully I can sneak away and get some tape runner!

Pretty Proud of myself.

So, being back from Colorado, I had plans to get back in the sun and tan away. Well, today the pool was closed. Of course! So, I said the heck with it and came home and scrapped! I did 2 layouts today, which is ah-mazing for me! I was really pleased! Like I've said before, I am trying to finish up 2010 and I am finially about to start December! A lot happened in December, so many more posts to come!!!

This first layout I scrapped some random photos from my iPhone that I had collected. Those apps are a hoot to make you look ridiculous! I used Scenic Route, Cosmo Cricket and an unknown paper for all the patterned paper. DCWV for the blue cardstock and for the green title. The font used was Cuttin Up. The arrows and flowers are from Scenic Route as well. My favorite pic is my sister! She sent this picture to my mom after she was getting over a really terrible cold! She was in mid sneeze!!!

This layout was done with DCWV cardstock in red for the background, Scenic Route paper for the patterned paper, the flowers and rhinestone are from Queen & Co., and the tag was Fancy Pants Design. The title was DCWV in pink and Lyrical Letters for the font. We always trim the tree during Thanksgiving Break, so this shows our Tradition. We added a new one (old for me) by going to Braum's and getting Egg Nog! Yummers!

Perhaps I may scrap again tomorrow instead of pool....it is really hot here!

Sorry! I was away on vacay!!!

We took a family trip to Colorado this past week! It was amazing! Here were a few pics from our trip! We woke up to snow our first day there, did some sight-seeing, did the alpine slide, water rafting and ended the trip with a campfire and s'mores! I can not wait to scrap this trip! I already have so many ideas!

I look forward to many trips back to Colorado! I promise to be back with some scrap ideas soon! Hopefully tomorrow! Bye for now!

Happy Anniversary!!!!

I got some card making and scrapbooking done today!!!!! I needed to make a card for my husband. This Sunday (Father's Day) will be our 7th Anniversary!!!! I hope he really likes it!

I used this cute paper that I have had forever! It has glitter flowers, but not too much. I have tried to use it for a layout, but could never find the right fit. It works great for this card!!! I used my Cricut to cut out the Happy Anniversary. It is from Lyrical Letters Cart. I also added some big eyelets for extra flair.

I had some more time, so I continued working on the 2010 scrapbook. This layout was to show the motorcycle my husband's uncle got. Everyone got to take a ride! I used this cute paper from DCWV that has tire marks on it. I then added the red circle paper to pull the color of the motorcycle out. I used my Cricut to cut out the title. I used Zoo Animals Cart.

Simple layout, but I am pleased how it turned out!

Turkey Layouts!

Sorry it has been awhile! I have been super busy for it being summer!!! I hope it calms down a bit, or this summer is going to fly by! I did get to some crafting though! On Friday I went to a crop and did 5 layouts, but did not get to put titles on them. So today, I got out the Cricut and got to work! I was finished in an hour! I love working with my Cricut!!! Here are the five pages. I am still working on 2010, so this was Thanksgiving. Sorry about the pics, I was having some trouble uploading and had to make them small....do not likey!

This last pic is a close up of the first page! Love using my circle cutter! It cuts up to almost 12 inch circles which look great on a layout!

Looking at food....I am sitting here with the TV on and a clip came of Lady Gaga wearing an all meat dress, shoes and hat. She is so bizarre, yet so interesting! I wonder what a turkey meat dress would look like? Hmm....something to contemplate!

Glitterific!

I created 3 more cards on Friday! I decided to get out the glitter and really glitz them up! Boy did I make a mess!!! I had glitter everywhere! One of my containers spilled and there was pink glitter all over my scrap area, all over my chair, and especially all over me! I was sparkling and shimmering like a vampire from the Twilight series!!!!! I still had fun making them though! I love me some glitz!
This one turned out the best of the 3 I made. Don't you just love that sparkle?!? Again, I used my DCWV cards, I added some bright paper that I got at Hobby Lobby, the stickers are made by Creative Imaginations (got at Scrapbook Convention), the glitter stripe at the bottom was strip paper from PK Glitz (Scrap Conv) and the stamp was a Happy Birthday stamp got at a $1 bin at Scrap. Conv.

Here is a close up of the stamp. I used a glue stamp pad by Martha Stewart, my $1 stamp and fine glitter. Super glitzy!!!

Here is a pic of all 3! I love them! I can not wait to give them away and see their reactions when they get them!!!!

Okay

Well today I had training and I had hoped it would get out early, but sadly no. I was stuck in a cold room all day! It was freezing! The training was how to use iDevices in your classroom, so it was pretty interesting, and I did have the training with one of my teaching partners, so that made it fun! But again, something broke into my crafting! I also went to my parents house to help them set up their new TV! It was nice to have dinner with them and to chat a little! I haven't sat down to a home cooked meal with them in a long time (we usually meet at Rosa's Cafe!) so it was a nice change!

I did find a little time to do some crafting. Well, not totally crafting. I had some pages that I had not put in a book yet, so before they got all dusty...

I created a neat layout of the Rose Gardens at Botanical Gardens in Fort Worth back in March, so I thought I would share that!

This is the 2 page spread. Not the best pic....sorry. I tried to get closer in the next 2 shots!

I used Tami Potter Mosaic Moments paper to get the grid effect on my pages. It takes a while to cut each photo, but totally worth it when done! I love the look of the mosaic pics! For the title I used Creative Memories paper (the pink paper) and cut Rose Gardens with my Cricut. Not sure the font I used. The stickers are some cute glitter flower ones I bought years ago, but loved! Not sure the company, I used some on another layout and threw away the packaging. But they worked great, huh? Love this layout!

Birthday cards!

So, today was a not so good day! I had made plans to create about 4 birthday cards, but life got in the way! I totally woke up later, which is fine, because I love to sleep and it is summer (*sigh*). But that got in the way of my crafting! I had my morning workout and then the dentist called (boo). Apparently they are no longer taking my insurance, so I spent the majority of the day on the phone trying to find a new dentist (bigger boo!). So, all this calling cut into my crafting time, so I only got 1 card done.

I used a dots card from DCWV, added some plain color paper found in a stack from Hobby Lobby, used a cute Happy Birthday stamp that I got for $1 at the Scrapbook Convention, this cute cupcake sticker made by Creative Imaginations and this cute blue and white polka-dot ribbon (both purchased at the Scrapbook Convention). Side note: Did I say I LOVE Scrapbook Convention?!?!

I'm mostly pleased how it turned out, but I may try stamping with glitter tomorrow! I'll keep ya posted on how that works out!

1st days of summer

So, my goal this summer is to do a craft a day. On Monday I organized and put away all my goodies that I got at the Great American Scrapbook Convention! It is not summer if I don't shop my heart out at the convention! If you have never been, you should! So much fun stuff!!!! Also on Monday I created these cute flowers that I learned to make at a make and take station! They will go great on some snow layouts!

Today I created my Father's Day Cards! One for my dad and one for my father -in -law! I'm pleased how they turned out. I used some foam stickers from Adorn It that I got at the Scrapbook Convention!

I used white cardstock paper from Hobby Lobby and this cute blue polka dot paper for the background that I had. Not sure of paper company, it was in my scrap collection. Aren't the stickers cute?

I used a strip card made by DCWV from a premade card stack. Again, aren't the stickers just adorable? Love them! May have to order some more from Adorn It!

I hope I can up keep up with my goal with a craft a day! Be on the look out for more posts!

Yay!

I am on Summer vacation now and I wanted to start a blog! I am always looking at other people's blogs to get ideas for scrapbooking and cardmaking, so I thought I would go ahead and start one too! I really hope I keep up with this and that it becomes useful to others as well!
